The Agricultural Revolution will linger for a long time irrespective of the challenge of global warming. It is actually one of the biggest solutions to global warming as production Industries, vehicles, and engines begin to use low-carbon fuel as alternative energy source, which is agric based, and will drastically reduce climate change.
Most of the people who will benefit massively from the Agricultural Revolution may never see the fields of an arable land, or carry a hoe.
a. Improved Seed:
One of the farmers I know, who is also an agric consultant, made over 6 million naira from water melon 2 years ago.
While he was away in the US, his labourers decided to plant the improved water melon seeds he gave them after they got tired waiting for him. He had a serious fight with them when he got back as he wanted to plant cucumber that season. But, he eventually apologised as the water melon matured at a time when there was serious scarcity in the market.
The importation and sales of improved seeds will be a very viable business shortly as they are not cheaply affected by pest and weather conditions.
Action Exercise: Big businesses begin small: simply locate importers, and then, start as a retailer.
