2 Minutes Business Article. Title: #CHANGE

Monday, April 6th, 2015.

Henry David was absolutely correct in saying that “Things don't change; we change.”

In the recent Nigerian Presidential election, the word change almost literally replaced the name of the presidential candidate whose party adopted the word, and even though the incumbent party had more in terms of resources and dominated the media with so much political advertisement against the opposing party; showing things that could easily alter in the minds of people whatever they represent and evangelise, the word CHANGE had so much power in itself that it appealed to the masses and eventually prevailed. Why? First; The Choice Word 'CHANGE' is very timely. Secondly; It is timely because the incumbent party didn't have so much to show, and didn't affect the concerned masses in a way that could make them feel they already have the CHANGE they need.

No doubt, leveraging on the experience of AKPD, a political consulting firm, co-founded by David Axelrod, President Barack Obama’s campaign
strategist, is giving the winning party great mileage.

To effect effective change in business, you must find your way into the hearts of people and keep evolving to maintain your vantage position.

Once change is not timely, all the resources in the world will not help - resources don't create change; we do. Resources can only enhance the chance for change once it is timely.

Action Exercise: Don't attempt to create change until you change. It starts with you.
