As a little boy growing up in an Army Barracks, almost everyone around, my mum inclusive, did all kinds of businesses. Very few had a consistent business as most people did seasonal businesses.
When it was the season of maize, most were in business. When it was cassava time, people were in the garri business, etc.


The major goal back then was survival, so, very few were able to build a lasting business.
Same with most new businesses of today, people rush into business not being mindful of the seed phase of a business.  


Almost everything we do in life are seeds. We sow seeds everyday with our words and works.


There is the seed phase of every business, and truth is, the future of a thing is determined by the condition of the seed.


Seed 1

Time: Permit me to define Time as ' an intangible living thing without a mind of its own.' It simply responds to your own mind.

There is life in every time, when you invest time correctly, you maximise the life therein. But, when you waste time, you kill the life in it.

Learning: When you know the business you want to do, one of the best use of time at that level is to spend it learning the business.
Every business/trade has its secrets. You can't beat a man who has learnt his trade.

Learning is a life long adventure. And the nice thing is, it's never too late to learn.

Some business people need to go back to school, not necessarily to acquire a degree, but to solve their long term or current business puzzle.
