Business Best Practice 2 (Leadership)

2 Minutes Business Article

Title: Business Best Practice 2 (Leadership)

“Leadership is the capacity to translate vision into reality.” – Warren Bennis

Writing a business plan before starting a business is very crucial to the success of every business. But, too many small businesses don't take that into account. The business is already running without a business plan, and there's no plan to write one either. What's worst also is that, they don't write a leadership/management, or organisational structure plan, on how their organisation will run.

I consider leadership the bedrock of business best practice. With effective leadership skills, an entrepreneur will put the best business plan in place, and determine from the onset what the future of the business will be.

Start With The End In Mind

All successful people/leaders all over the world have one thing in common; More than having a clear picture of the future in mind, they always paint it clearly before they start out on the journey.

This Does One Thing

When you have the future clearly painted on paper in your hands, it will guide you and regulate all your actions towards its realisation. A future not yet painted will be very hard to act upon. So, you could say the reason why a lot a people have not taken any action towards their Ideas is because they are yet to do the simply but difficult exercise of writing it on paper. Putting the end on paper carries so much power in itself that pushes you to action.

Best practice begins with leadership. And leadership is what makes every other best practice principles and laws effective.

Action Step: Discover something new that will develop your leadership today.
